Daniel Alel

Welcome to my Maker Portfolio.

Who am I?

I’m Danny Alel, and I like to make stuff.

Born and raised in NYC, I grew up surrounded by the sounds of jack hammers digging up concrete, hammers clanging on metal, and the chugga-chugga-chugga of impact drills on bolts that were probably stripped 2 chuggas ago. As a kid, I didn’t know what an “engineer” was, I just knew I wanted to be a “builder” of some sort.

Fast forward a couple years, I chose to study Mechanical Engineering at MIT, specifically tailoring my courses around manufacturing and product design.

Today, you can find me making anything from precision CNC parts, 3D-printed parts for my car, shiny jewelry, or over-engineered shelf brackets.
